Members of the public can nominate their favourite restaurants and pubs from 1 March 2010 until 21 April 2010; The Good Food Guide is particularly looking for those that offer regional dishes and use local produce. Each nomination earns you a place in a prize draw for a meal for two. Nominations can be made online if you follow the link to The Good Food Guide's website. The ten regional winners will feature in The Good Food Guide 2011.

The overall winner will be chosen by a panel of experts, led by the editors of The Good Food Guide. We were delighted to be nominated for the Award last year. We hope that you have enjoyed your experiences of The George over the last year and if you are able to spare a moment to recommend us then we would be very grateful indeed. If we hear any more news from The Good Food Guide, we will let you know.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.thegeorgeatalstonefield.com/journal/2010/2/19/mothering-sunday.html"><rss:title>Mothering Sunday</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.thegeorgeatalstonefield.com/journal/2010/2/19/mothering-sunday.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject>Events Mothering Sunday</dc:subject>

Book now for Mothering Sunday, the fourth Sunday in Lent, which this year falls on 14 March 2010. For reservations, please call Emily on 01335 310205 or e-mail emily@thegeorgeatalstonefield.com.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.thegeorgeatalstonefield.com/journal/2010/2/13/yoga-with-candida-elton-at-lode-barn.html"><rss:title>Yoga with Candida Elton at Lode Barn</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.thegeorgeatalstonefield.com/journal/2010/2/13/yoga-with-candida-elton-at-lode-barn.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject>Dance Events Lode Barn Yoga</dc:subject>

Candida will be running yoga sessions in Lode Barn, to the rear of the pub at 4.00 p.m. for approximately an hour and a half on the following Saturdays - 27 February, 6 March, 13 March and 20 March. Each session costs £6 per person. You can pay on the day or book in advance with Candida directly on 07941 243211 or by e-mailing her at yoga@candidaelton.co.uk.

The classes encourage ease and efficiency in movement. You will learn how to apply methods of breath awareness and anatomic visualisation to transitions into and out of key yoga postures, gradually building up to extended fluid sequences.

If you have previously experienced any form of hatha yoga this class will offer new ways of working, complementing your existing practice. If you are completely new to yoga this class will teach you a general and safe method for approaching key yoga postures, helping to improve your posture, alignment and freedom of movement in yoga and in everyday life.

Candida has over fifteen years of yoga experience, predominantly in Ashtanga and Scaravelli based methods. She has previously trained with many highly regarded teachers in New York and London (among them John Scott, Lino Miele, Sara Baird, Jean Hall and Giovanni Felicioni). Candida is also a contemporary dancer with experience in Body Mind Centring and Skinner Releasing – movement systems which inform her yoga teaching.
